MITCHELL - Robert James (Bert) It is with great sadness that the family announce the unexpected passing of Robert James Mitchell (Bert), aged 56, on Saturday 20th April 2024. A loving husband to Arlene, father to Ava and son to Margaret. Bert was formerly a Police Officer with Strathclyde Police, and a Sportswriter with the Glasgow Evening Times. Thanks go out to all friends, family and neighbours for their kind thoughts at this difficult time. Bert's funeral will take place on Thursday 9th May at 11am at Bridge of Allan Parish Church, followed by 12.30pm at Logie Kirk Cemetery.
