A Glasgow primary school was damaged by vandals.

St Ninians Primary School in Knightswood was targeted between Friday, February 10 and Tuesday, February 14.

Planters, trees and windows were damaged at the scene, which officers described as "excessive".

There was also "broken glass all over the playground".

The force has confirmed that they are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

On Twitter, Police Scotland said: "St Ninians Primary School, Knightswood, was subjected to vandalism between Friday, February 10 and Tuesday, February 14.

"Excessive damage was caused to planters, trees, and windows resulting in broken glass all over the playground. Anyone with information, please contact Police."
