HAMILTON chairman Ronnie MacDonald today insisted star asset James McArthur is going nowhere.
Reports today linked the 21-year-old with a move to Celtic, but the Accies supremo says no contact has been made by the Parkhead club.
With McArthur under contract until the end of season 2010/11, Hamilton are in no hurry to cash in on their midfield play-maker.
MacDonald said: "I have had no contact from Celtic about James McArthur. I have no comment to make. There has been speculation about our players all season long, but they are all under contract.
"If Peter Lawwell wants to pick up the phone then fine, but I have nothing to say on speculation."
Celtic's reported interest in McArthur has come after the Hoops had been monitoring the form of Hamilton's other midfield asset James McCarthy.
But, with the 18-year-old Republic of Ireland Under-21 international also on a long-term contract, the one guarantee is that neither will be leaving before the end of the current campaign.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen captain Scott Severin is set to quit the club at the end of the season after rejecting the final offer of a new contract.
Director of Football Willie Miller insists Severin and the rest of the players whose deals are coming to an end have been made take-it-or-leave-it offers.
Jamie Smith, Lee Mair, Derek Young and Darren Mackie have also received what Miller believes are realistic offers.
Meanwhile, Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo has encouraged winger Andy Driver not to cash in on the first chance to quit Tynecastle.
Skipper Christophe Berra has admitted he will have to leave Scotland to further his career.
