A GLASGOW paralympian has been honoured by her former university.
Partially sighted cyclist Aileen McGlynn was named Strathclyde University's Alumna of the Year at a graduation ceremony.
The former Scotswoman of the Year was recognised for her achievements in cycling, having won three Golds an a Silver at the Paralympics.
She took Gold in the kilo time trial and Silver in the sprint at the 2004 Athens event.
And she then scored a double Gold in the 1km time trial and the pursuit in Beijing last year.
Aileen, who studied maths at Strathclyde between 1991 and 1995 has also won three Golds at the World Disability Championships.
This year, she again won the 1km time trial and 3km pursuit at the Paralympic World Cup in Manchester.
