BALSITIS JOHN. Peacefully, at Cowal Community Hospital, on Tuesday, 10th July, 2018, aged 84. Beloved husband of the late Anna. Fortified by rites of the Holy Church, R.I.P. Reception and vigil at St Aloysius R.C. Church, Springburn on Thursday, 19th July at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, 20th July at 10am, thereafter to Lambhill Extension Cemetery at 11am.

Dear Uncle Johnny, I have just been telephoned by Aunt Irene. I had no idea, I'm totally devastated that I did not get to say goodbye. I have no idea why no one contacted us, I would have flown up for your funeral. You know how much you meant to me and I'm so very glad I got to see you in February when I was last in Scotland. I pray that you and aunty Anna are now together, I know that's all you ever wanted xx Both you and Aunty Anna were always there for me, especially as a teenager, and you helped me when I was at my lowest after my divorce. Uncle Johnny you know how grateful I was and how much I loved keeping in touch even though I live in England. I just feel so awful that I didn't know you had gone. I don't even know if you are buried or cremated, but I promise you I will find out and I will come see you real soon x I love you very much uncle Johnny, you will remain in my thoughts as always.
