Apple, most famous for its iPod music players, will open its new store on the corner of Buchanan Street and St Vincent Street on Saturday at 9am.
The building, which was the former home of The Pier, was converted at a cost of £1.15million.
Browsers can test out Apple products, with 45 Macs and 50 iPods on the shop floor.
The first 1500 people through the door on Saturday will get an Apple T-Shirt and there will be competitions to win computer equipment.
The store will also host a series of concerts called Live from Glasgow.
Up-and coming band The Dykeenies will play the first one on Tuesday, August 28, at 8pm.
Meanwhile, luxury handbag shop Mulberry, which opened recently on Ingram Street, is set for a celebrity launch party on Wednesday night with Scots band The View playing.
