When Ubisoft announced back in February that former Wii U exclusive Rayman Legends would also be swinging its way on to Xbox 360 and PS3, there was a great deal of anger and frustration.

Most of this stemmed from the fact the game's release would be pushed back six months so all console versions could be released at the same time, leaving early Wii U owners without a high profile game they had desperately been looking forward to.

Now, Ubisoft has announced that Rayman's latest caper will also be bounding on to PS Vita, and will be launched alongside its home console cousins in the UK on August 30.

All the original content will be included on the PS Vita, but the hand-held version will come bundled with a smattering of bonus content, including five exclusive maps, multiplayer and bonus Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell costumes.

Of course, August is still a long way off, but if you want to see the game in action, head over to the Wii U's e-shop and download the free - and utterly magnificent - demo.
