Senior Reporter

Born and raised in Lochaber, I moved to Glasgow at 18 to study classical music before opting for a career in journalism.

I  honed my skills at the East Kilbride News, before joining the Evening Times in 2004.

Between times I have also freelanced for newspapers including the Metro, Daily Record, Daily Mail and Sunday Times.

In 2009 I was runner-up at the Scottish Press Awards for ‘Scoop of the Year’ and have also led the Evening Times’ award-winning Opt for Life campaign, which is aiming for a change to Scotland’s transplant laws.

I cover general news, with a specialism in health and also work on the newsdesk.
