SEQUINNED siren Katya Virshilas has had her pick of leading men - but has finally found the perfect pairing.

On the big screen, the dancer has helped Richard Gere and Antonio Banderas get to grips with ballroom in Shall We Dance and Take The Lead respectively.

On the small screen, she's put cricketer Phil Tufnell, rugby pin-up Gavin Henson and Daybreak presenter Dan Lobb through their paces in pursuit of Strictly Come Dancing's much-coveted glitterball television trophy.

But when it came to finding her ideal match in an on-screen professional partner, the 29-year-old Lithuanian-born, Canadian-bred dancer proved a little more choosy.

It took professional pairings with Brendan Cole and Artem Chigvintsev before she found the right match in Siberian dancer Pasha Kovalev.

"It's funny, because my first partner on Strictly was Brendan, and we made better friends than partners," she said.

"Then it was Artem and Artem is a very difficult person to work with.

"I don't know, me and Pasha just have great chemistry. We have a lot of respect for each other.

"We're kind of like brother and sister."

Pasha and Katya will visit Scotland twice in the next six weeks.

Tomorrow evening, they will be guests of honour at a glittering fundraiser, (A Little Less) Strictly Come Dancing, at Glasgow's Hilton Hotel in aid of the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. They will take the floor in a bal- lroom and Latin showcase.

And they're returning in April with four Scottish performances on a 70-date tour of the UK.

Stopping off at Motherwell Concert Hall, the live show is expected to feature plenty of audience participation, including a Q&A session and a mini dance contest.

The tour allows the pair full creative control over everything from the music to their costumes.
