Thousands of lost loved ones were remembered yesterday in a Glasgow carol concert in aid of the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
Newsreader Sally Magnusson hosted the annual Light Up A Life concert in St Andrew's Cathedral, Clyde Street.
More than 600 people attended the concert to commemorate those e who have passed away. Guests were welcomed by Monsignor Christopher McElroy before readings from hospice staff and board members, and carols led by the Kilbarchan Singers.
After the concert, a procession crossed the bridge to the Carlton Place hospice, where Lanarkshire pupil Maria Lalley, 12, the face of the festive appeal, turned on the lights at the hospice and its Christmas tree.
Each light is dedicated to the memory of a lost loved one.
Organisers aim to raise more than £3000 in donations from the concert to go to the appeal's overall target of £25,000.
