FUNDRAISERS of all ages put their best foot forward for an evening walk.

The Clyde Stride event took place to raise money for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.

More than 500 people - including children - took part choosing a 5K or 10K route alongside the river, starting at the Riverside Museum at 9pm.

Former Radio Clyde DJ David Farrell hosted the event, which saw workmates join charity employees and the friends and families of hospice patients to pound the pavements after dark.

Agnes Nisbet, who took part in the walk last year with 26 of her friends and family, joined in again on Saturday in memory of her brother Boab McCrone who was treated by the hospice.

Agnes said: "The Clyde Stride walk brings us together as a family to honour the memory of our brother, uncle and great uncle, Boab.

"The family had Boab back, with his pain under control and they were able to spend quality time together whether in the café or in the family room - they were special times."

The Evening Times is backing the hospice's Brick by Brick Appeal, which aims to raise the remaining £12.5million of the £21m project to build a new home for Glasgow's hospice.

The centre supports people who have life-limiting illness.#
