RAISING money for a good cause has never been so enjoyable.

That's the message from funny woman Karen Dunbar, a long-time supporter of the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.

There are just a few tickets left for this Sunday's afternoon tea at the Will Tea Rooms in Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street to raise funds for the Brick by Brick Appeal, backed by the Evening Times.

Karen had a chance to sample some of the delights on offer ahead of the day with hospice fundraising manager Heather Manson.

"What a great idea to eat loads of cream cakes in the name of a good cause," laughed Chewin' the Fat star Karen.

"I have been doing a lot of work for the Brick by Brick Appeal. It's wonderful to be involved. The hospice is undoubtedly one of the most fulfilling charities I support."

Tickets for the afternoon tea in the Room De Luxe, with original features designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, cost £15 per person.

There is a glass of Prosecco on arrival and entertainment from Paisley's McCallum School of Music.

Joyce Ross, senior community fundraiser at the hospice said: "These events appeal to a wide range of supporter and are about raising funds, but also about raising awareness of the work of the hospice.

"On many occasions we have met some who have become regular supporters and even volunteers.

"We are delighted at the success of the Afternoon Tea at The Willow Tea Rooms."
