EFE Ambrose will be a Celtic player until at least the end of the season.

That was the message last night from the defender's agent, who quashed any suggestions of a last-minute move away from Parkhead.

Dudu Dahan said that there was no prospect of any other transfer taking place before Monday's deadline, insisting: "Efe is staying at Celtic".

His comments came after Olympiacos were reported to have made a £3million bid to take the Nigerian to Athens.

Several clubs have been linked with a move for the World Cup defender, including English Premiership sides, but his future remains at Celtic Park at least until the summer.

Ambrose moved to Celtic from Israeli side Ashdod in the summer of 2012, signing a three-year contract.

Meanwhile, Anthony Stokes has warned that Celtic's title challenge could perish unless they find a killer instinct in front of goal.

The Hoops passed up a number of gilt-edged chances during Saturday's 1-0 league victory away to Ross County.

And it took a deflected shot from Kris Commons to finally nail down the points.

It was Celtic's fourth clean sheet on the bounce, but Stokes fears their profligacy at the other end could open the door to title challengers Aberdeen and Inverness Caley Thistle.

The Irishman said: "I think we've been playing reasonably well and perhaps there have been some games where we have won maybe 1-0 or 2-0, but we have been creating chances.

"To a certain extent we've been unlucky, but we've also not taken those chances, although you'd be more worried if we weren't creating chances and just scraping through games.

"Even against Motherwell recently we won 4-0, but it could have been six or seven.

"So we are creating chances and, in the last few games, they have started to go in and we just need to keep being ruthless in front of goal."

Ronny Deila's attacking philosophy has forced most visiting teams to Celtic Park this season to sit back and frustrate the Hoops as they go on the hunt for goals.

"Teams sitting back against us is a regular thing when we play at Celtic Park," he told the club website.

"Teams tend to sit a bit deeper, but you have to try to break them down."
