AIDAN NESBITT is determined to stay chilled as he gears up for the nerve-shredding Glasgow Cup Final tonight against Rangers.

The young Celt was the Hoops hero in last year's showpiece when his second-half strike clinched a 1-0 win over the Ibrox side at Parkhead.

Tonight the Under-17s go head to head in a behind-closed-doors match at Hampden.

And Nesbitt is convinced that the experience he picked up last year will be vital for Tommy McIntyre's side in tonight's crunch.

The teenager said: "The only difference for some people is that you'd perhaps get a bit nervous.

"You don't want to be the one that makes a mistake because it's a big game for everyone, but you just have to deal with your anxiety in your own way.

"If you can go into the game with an edge for the final then you can go and put in a good performance and that's what people remember."

While this will be the biggest match in the fledging careers for many of the Bhoys, Nesbitt, now a key member of the Development Side, is confident they will be prepared to meet the challenge.

"Every year with Celtic, no matter what age group you're at, you're going to be in tournaments and finals, so in that sense all the way through you learn," he told the club's official website.

"There are boys at the club who are maybe only 15 years old, but they'll be in a final this year.

"No matter what age group it is - that's your final so it's just as big a game to you as any other cup.

"If you're playing finals every year it's going to be the same if you make the step up to the first-team level."
