As is standard procedure with Uefa when a player is sent off, their Control and Disciplinary Body will meet on October 30 to discuss whether or not to give an
additional ban to the Israeli.
Biton is automatically banned for the game with Ajax in Amsterdam on November 6, with Celtic unable to appeal against that suspension. If an additional sanction is applied, the club would be able to contest that, as they have done with the extra two-game ban given to captain Scott Brown following his dismissal for violent conduct in the defeat to Barcelona.
Uefa say that no date has yet been decided for Brown's appeal hearing.
