Speaking to the official Celtic website, Carragher said: "I'm delighted to be invited to play at Celtic Park. It brings back some great memories and it's nice to get the boots back on.

"More importantly, to play in a game that helps Celtic FC Foundation and Rio's Foundation is an honour."

"I'm sure there will be a big crowd and we all know the atmosphere that the Celtic crowd can create so I can't wait for September 7."
