SO we have had the 50 Greatest Games.
But what of those that missed out, or hit the woodwork?
There was certainly no shortage of matches which could easily have made it on to the list.
Here are just a few …
Celtic 2 Dundee UTd 1
Scottish Cup final, 1985
IT was the 100th final of the competition, and a must-win match for the Hoops manager Davie Hay, who was looking to collect his first trophy since moving into the hot seat the previous year.
Things didn't look good, however, when Stuart Beedie fired Jim McLean's United side into the lead 10 minutes after the break.
However, Hay made some courageous substitutions, taking off Paul McStay and Tommy Burns and replacing them with Pierce O'Leary and Brian McClair, and late goals from Davie Provan and Frank McGarvey won the day.
Airdrie 0 Celtic 1
Scottish Cup final, 1995
Another cup final, another new boss under pressure.
Tommy Burns had seen his side lose the League Cup final to Raith Rovers the previous year, and could not afford another bloody nose against opposition the Hoops were really expected to beat.
But it was tough going for the Celtic side, and in the end only a Pierre van Hooijdonk headed goal separated the sides. It was still enough to end Celtic's six-year trophy drought.
It was also Burns's first - and last - trophy as Celtic manager, and allowed Paul McStay to collect his first piece of silverware as captain.
Celtic 1 Rangers 0
Scottish Cup final, 1977
IT was to be the 25th and final time Jock Stein led Celtic to trophy success, and it marked the end of a golden - or maybe silver - era.
It was fitting, therefore, that the victory should be over arch-rivals Rangers.
Unfortunately, due to the heavy rain and the fact the final was screened live on TV, the crowd that witnessed this historic event was only 54,000 strong.
The Celtic element within it emerged happy as full-back Andy Lynch scored the only goal from the spot after Derek Johnstone was adjudged to have handled in the box.
