CELTIC'S new goal machine Stefan Johansen is heading off for international duty with Norway buoyed by his recent success.

Goals in both Europa League ties against Astra Giurgiu plus the equaliser to kickstart yesterday's comeback against Aberdeen have confirmed how vital he has become to Ronny Deila's side.

The 23-year-old Hoops midfielder is delighted to be delivering and said: "This is probably my best form. But if the team is playing well, then so do the players.

"It's about all of the players because you can't play alone.

"I'm starting to find my role in this system. I've scored a few and I hope I can keep it going."

With the influential Scott Brown suspended for the next league game, at home to Dundee, Johansen will have even more responsibility placed on his shoulders to help keep Celtic's momentum going.

He said of his captain's dismissal against the Dons: "I didn't see the situation too clearly. But from where I was, it did not look like it merited a second yellow card."

Despite being a man short, Celtic pushed on and got a late winner through Virgil van Dijk to take over at the top of the Premiership.

"It was tough when Broony got sent off, but it showed the character of the team when we can win with 10 men," said Johansen.

"You just have to be a bit smarter. We were always going to be dangerous at set-pieces with guys like Virgil and John Guidetti around."

"It was a satisfying win because the way we did it was fantastic.Being top of the league is a great feeling. This is where we want to be.

"Can any other team knock us off the top now? Hopefully not."
