SOME of the Celtic kids who thrashed Rangers 6-1 at Murray Park this week could be in line for a first-team reward.

Ronny Deila was at the game to see his Under-20s side ease to a thumping win and he is keen to give some of them a taste of Premiership action.

The Hoops boss said: "I was at the game and was very pleased. Our boys had a very good attitude, team spirit, were good in transition and had the ball for 80% of the game so they had good possession."

Now Deila is looking to help his best starlets make the big step up to first-team football.

"It was very interesting to see them," he added. "It is up to us now to find the right way to bring them to the first team through good training.

"We need to let the best players train with the first team and get them to learn what they need in how they play matches.

"Sometimes I will also have to give them a chance.

"Already Eoghan O'Connell has played three matches and Darnell Fisher is ready. He should have been in our squad against Partick Thistle this week but he had a small injury.

"Liam Henderson has played a couple of games. And Filip Twardzik has had some injuries, but he played at Inverness.

"His best position is probably central midfield. He had a great game against Rangers."
