Celtic have agreed a fee with Derry City for 20-year-old winger Michael Duffy.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 internationalist has had two trial spells at the club and netted two goals in a development game against Newcastle United.
"We have agreed a deal with Celtic for Michael Duffy," said Derry City chief executive Sean Barrett.
"We thought it was dead in the water, then Celtic contacted at us to say they wanted to sign him.
"I believe Michael is discussing personal terms."
Duffy, who can also play as a striker, netted 15 goals for Derry City last season.
