Hoops boss Neil Lennon confirmed the Sierra Leone striker will be moved out - at the same time as he revealed an attempt to bring in another foreign hitman had come to a shuddering halt.

Lennon is desperate to find someone to convert the chances his side makes, but there is no chance the opportunity will be handed to Bangura.

He has failed to score a single goal in a competitive match since he arrived from AIK in Sweden in August, 2011, and was sent on loan back to AIK then, for all of last year, to Elfsborg. Bangura infamously lined up against Celtic for Elfsborg in their Champions League qualifiers in August.

Lennon accepts the player was placed in a difficult situation. But now, though he has a contract until 2015, the club have decided his time with them has come to an end.

Lennon does not believe Celtic will be prepared to pay up his contract, explaining: "We are not in the business of doing that."

But the man who returned to Lennoxtown last month is not expected to be around for much longer.

Lennon admits the 24-year-old has no future at the club and is looking at a loan or, preferably, a permanent move for him.

He said: "It's probably in Mo's best interests to get another move. It has not worked out for both parties, and these things happen sometimes.

"There have been no enquiries for him. Probably his best bet would be Scandinavia or somewhere else abroad again."

Lennon is disappointed Bangura has failed to make any kind of impression, but concluded: "I don't think you are going to get every one (signings) right.

"I'd say every manager, even the greats, has made a mistake or two along the way. It's not worked out. That's all I can say.

"Mo needs to go out and play football because it's going to be restrictive for him here."

Another young striker, Bahrudin Atajic, has been sent out on loan to Shrewsbury.

But Lennon confirmed neither Teemu Pukki nor Amido Balde would be offered the same chance to go in search in regular football.

The Finnish striker has already played for two teams this season, so would have a very limited choice of clubs where Fifa rules would allow him to play in the same year.

Pukki could find himself back in the starting XI tomorrow against Hibs because Anthony Stokes is suspended.

Balde is also in contention, and Lennon is prepared to continue to work with the

22-year-old brought in from Portugal last summer.

Georgios Samaras and Derk Boerrigter are both fit once again and in contention to return at Easter Road, while Stefan Johansen will also be in the squad.

But James Forrest is a doubt with a slight groin strain.

Lennon predicts a warm reception and, as they look to make it 22 games unbeaten in the league, said: "The longer we go unbeaten, every team will want to be the one to take our scalp. So there's plenty of challenges and motivation for us."
