BULGARIA have kept faith with Celtic star Aleksandar Tonev by including him in their squad for their Euro 2016 clash with Malta.
The on-loan Aston Villa midfielder was handed a seven-match ban by the Scottish Football Association on Thursday for racist remarks to Aberdeen defender Shay Logan.
Celtic and their manager Ronny Deila have stood by the player and have launched an appeal.
And Bulgaria have also kept faith in the former Lech Poznan star.
Tonev has been included in manager Lyuboslav Penev's squad for the tie against Malta in Sofia later this month.
He's one of 12 foreign-based players in the Bulgarian squad. Tonev is free to play for Celtic too pending the appeal hearing, with a date for that still to be set.
