GORDON (6) Had nothing to do until the 54th minute when he saw red.

The goalkeeper was left badly exposed by his defence and could have done nothing to get out of Marley Watkins' way.

MATTHEWS (5) Was caught on the wrong side of Watkins as he raced in on goal for the penalty and shirked challenge in run-up to decider. Guilty of drifting infield when on the back foot.

VAN DIJK (6) Put his team ahead with a wonderful curling free-kick off the post on 18 minutes. At fault for Inverness' second as he badly misjudged flight of the ball from cross.

DENAYER (6) Forays forward curtailed by Caley's ability to break at pace. Was part of a defence determined to play a high line against an Inverness front two and looked vulnerable doing so. Belgian less than convincing for conceding winner.

IZAGUIRRE (5) Subdued performance from the Honduran, who struggled to make an impact going forward. Saw little of the ball throughout.

COMMONS (5) Huffed and puffed as he drifted in and out of the game. Long-range shot tipped round the post in the first half was his biggest contribution. Taken off in the 90th minute with a knock.

BROWN (6) Booked for late challenge on Daniel Williams on 20 minutes, which stifled his influence as he was forced to walk a thin line in central midfield as Inverness grew into the game.

BITTON (6) Sent a swerving snap shot crashing off the crossbar from 20 yards early on. A composed head and seemed to still have time on the ball during a pressurised second half.

JOHANSEN (8) Saw two thunderous strikes blocked in the first half. Pushed forward when he could to lend support to Leigh Griffiths through the middle and almost scored with an audacious 40-yard chip.

FORREST (7) The winger started superbly with numerous penetrating runs down the left, one of which earned a foul for the opener. Was sacrificed 10 minutes after the break as Celtic went down to 10 men.

GRIFFITHS (5) Not scared to try his luck from long range. Was denied a stonewall penalty when his header was handled by Josh Meekings. Lost footing in dying seconds of normal time as the ball bounced his way. Hooked seconds after going 2-1 behind.

SUBSTITUTES:

ZALUSKA (3) Took an eternity to get on the park to face Greg Tansey's penalty and dived early as the Inverness man sent him the wrong way. Terrible coming off his line. Helpless at Caley's second and at sea for their third.

TONEV (3) Rare appearance for the Bulgarian on his first outing this calendar year.

GUIDETTI (5) On for Griffiths, levelled the game within six minutes with another free-kick which should have been saved by Ryan Esson.
