Successfully managed to maintain his focus throughout the 90 minutes.
ALVES (7) Always keen to attack down the right flank and took a fare amount of punishment in the process. Dusted himself down and persevered regardless.
PIQUE (7) Coolness personified. Dealt calmly and effectively with whatever attacks Celtic managed to mount. Untroubled by lone striker Anthony Stokes.
BARTRA (7) Centre-half with the touch and vision of a creative midfielder. Excellent in the air too. Got upfield and tested Fraser Forster with a low drive.
ADRIANO (6) The left-back was equal to whatever forays down the right wing Celtic engineered. Offered little going forward.
BUSQUETS (6) Operated as a deep-lying midfielder. Rightly booked for a bad challenge on Anthony Stokes as passions rose in a bad-tempered second half.
XAVI (7) The captain leads by example. His distribution was impeccable. Hardly wasted a ball.
INIESTA (7) A class act. Constantly searching for an opening to exploit when in possession. Untroubled by the attentions of Scott Brown and Charlie Mulgrew in central midfield.
FABREGAS (7) Probed the home team's defence for a gap all evening. Took the winning goal well before being replaced.
PEDRO (6) Dropped deep to pick up possession whenever possible. Switched sides to keep both Celtic full-backs on their toes.
NEYMAR (8) The Brazilian wonderkid ghosted past Mikael Lustig early on to set the tone for the evening. Was a real handful for the Celtic defence. Denied twice by brilliant Fraser Forster saves.
ALEXIS (5) Set up Fabregas for the opening goal with a pinpoint cross just moments after replacing Pedro. Unlucky not to score himself in the dying minutes.
TELLO (5) Injected real directness and pace on the left wing after taking over from Fabregas.
SONG (3) Late replacement for Iniesta. Unable to influence proceedings greatly.
