"Did you ever play a game on Christmas Day?"

Davie replied: "I trained on Christmas Day and played on Boxing Day, but don't think I was ever involved in a game on Christmas Day.

"When I was a manager I actually used to give the players Christmas Day off. I thought that, psychologically, it was to their advantage to spend time with their family. They were so fit anyway that it didn't matter. They were never going to over-indulge. I would get them in on Boxng Day for an early loosener."

Just email Davie at and we'll print the answer alongside the question.
