It doesn't look as if Virgil is going to make it unfortunately. Louis van Gaal obviously feels he has other options there.

That is not to say he doesn't merit a place, he has been terrific for Celtic this season. But he hasn't been called up to the squad yet and I would say it is unlikely now.
