Davie gives his views on transfer window

THE transfer window shuts on Monday, and COLIN SHAW from Shawlands wants to know if Davie thinks it's open too long?

I'm not a fan of the window. In the final days, it leads to brinksmanship, inflated prices and panic buying and selling.

But, I can't see us going back to an open market all year round.

It needs to be as long as it is to allow clubs to get players in early for European qualifiers and to make necessary changes once they have seen how their season has started.
