To me, it makes perfect sense. Celtic Park is the biggest stadium in the country and is an appropriate venue to stage a cup final.
Only in Scotland would we get all this endless "debate" about the whys and wheres of the situation.
Celtic didn't make the decision to hold the final in the east end of Glasgow - the powers that be did.
Should we play the game at Wembley? Will those who have been complaining be happy about that scenario?
Or Murrayfield, which is a rugby stadium and where profits will be released back into rugby rather than football?
It is the correct decision. There will be a lot of people crossing their fingers that Celtic do not get there.
Last season's Champions League Final was played in the Allianz Arena in Germany - and Bayern Munich made it to the final.
Funny, but I don't remember too much debate about that one.
