Hoops must be United now

THERE was talk before Celtic played St Mirren recently that they could perhaps take their eye off the ball and look forward to the Barcelona game rather than concentrate on the job in hand.

They answered that in emphatic fashion, winning the game 5-0. Now they must show the same approach against Dundee United.

You cannot afford to go into any game with your mind not focused because the consequences won't be good and it won't work out the way you want.

Celtic will have learned that when they don't play well, they can lose games when people don't expect them to.

We all know there is a massive game coming up next week when they face Barcelona at Parkhead.

However, I am sure boss Neil Lennon will have his players warned not to get ahead of themselves and to focus only on the Dundee United game.

There are places up for grabs against Barcelona and you must play well in the league to win your jersey for the European games.
