NEIL LENNON has opened the door on a return to Celtic one day and while I would never say never, it is not something I can see happening for a while.

At this moment in time, I don't think it is a possibility but in life, and in football, you never know what can happen.

Neil was asked the question how he would feel about it and, as he always does, answered it honestly.

I can't see it happening, but that doesn't mean to say, many years down the line, that it won't happen.

You don't get many people that go back as managers to clubs the size of Celtic, although Billy McNeill did it so it can happen.

Neil left the club on good terms and has said he still has a good relationship with Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond.

And I am sure the fans would love to see him back in the dugout once again.

He has got a great affinity with Celtic and the supporters and it is understandable that the lure of being Celtic manager again appeals to him.

But he has got a big job on his hands at Bolton just now and I am sure that will be his focus.

If he is successful down south, that might lessen the chances of him returning to Celtic if he can forge a career for himself in England.

He has got off to a decent start at Bolton and I am sure everyone connected with Celtic will be wishing him well for the rest of the Championship campaign.
