Neil Lennon is evolving into the job

OVER the last year or so, I think that Neil Lennon has really settled into the position of being the Celtic manager.

There is a certain amount of responsibility that comes with the position and it can take a bit of getting used to because you are under the microscope all the time.

More than anyone, Lennon will know about the difficulties and pressures that come with the post, given the kind of things he has had to endure away from football.

But over the last few months he is far less volatile and there is a kind of persona that you need to have when you are in the job.

It takes time to adjust to that, but the one thing that always helps is if the team are winning.

The fact that Celtic have really kicked on over the last 12 months and have seemed to keep improving will have been a big factor in that.

But even still it is not easy to accept the responsibility that comes with the role and I think Lennon deserves some credit for being able to evolve into it.

He has adapted to the demands of the post and that can be a tough thing to do when you are under so much daily scrutiny.
