DESPITE John Guidetti's loan move from Manchester City taking most of the week to complete, it was the arrival of Stefan Scepovic which got most tongues wagging over the last few days.

After his switch to the club looked a done thing, many fans were irked at his apparent change of heart, with interest from Getafe appearing from nowhere.

The fact he eventually did join Celtic, and then promise he always wanted to, has not stopped some supporters still being less than pleased with the whole situation.

But what is important, is how Scepovic (pictured) does in a green and white shirt, not what went before it.

Initially there might be a reaction from some fans who will be thinking: "Here's a guy who didn't want to be here."

Whatever the situation was with him, it doesn't matter, he's here now. He'll probably have to be up and running quicker because of that.

There will still be doubters because of the situation, no matter what he has said.It would be good for Scepovic to score a goal and get off the mark as quickly as possible.

Some supporters will give him less bedding-in time just because of something that "almost" happened.

He should be given a fair crack of the whip but fans are fans. They'll probably think: "Why would he agree to a deal then it almost didn't go through?" The scrutiny is always going to be there. So Scepovic has to get off on the right foot from the start.

Guidetti's situation is different. The Swede always seemed keen to come to Celtic, even when the deal appeared not to be happening due to red tape and no fault of his own. That will probably mean he'll get more of a honeymoon period than his Serbian colleague.
