LIKE most people, I thought there were plenty of positives for Scotland to take from their 2-1 defeat in Germany this week.

We scored a really first-class goal through Watford's speedy winger Ikechi Anya and were probably unlucky to not come away from Dortmund with a point.

In the second half especially, there were some real signs of encouragement for national team manager Gordon Strachan.

Hopefully we can continue that for the remainder of the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign. We have to win our home games, so the tie against Georgia at Ibrox next month is vitally important for us.

Gordon has got the side playing with belief and confidence. There is a really positive feeling around the Scotland set-up just now.

The double header with Georgia and then the trip to Poland will be crucial for our chances. Hopefully we can keep up the momentum and get some points on the board.
