IT'S going to be another football jamboree without Scotland, but ALAN WILSON from Possil wonders if Davie believes the '74 side which went to West Germany was the best ever to represent us at a major finals?
As part of that squad, I prefer to leave it to others to judge. But, if pushed, I'd say that, for balance and blend, it probably was the best.
Having said that, Denis Law and Jim Baxter at their best were exceptional players who would have enhanced any squad. But, that group at that time were something special.
