JASON MUNRO from Clydebank asked Davie:

What minnows do you remember playing against in Europe?

In the European Cup in the 1970/71 season we played KPV Kokkola of Finland. We won 9-0 at home and then went away to the Arctic Circle to play the return leg where we won 5-0.

I also remember a game against Sliema of Malta in the second round of the same competition the following season.

They played on a sand-based pitch and we were lucky we won the first leg at home comfortably by a 5-0 margin. It can be difficult going into a match in Europe against unknown opponents.
