But Tom Hyslop from Carntyne wonders how badly Davie feels Falkirk will be handicapped if they fail to make the play-offs and are idle for four weeks before the game against Inverness?
"Severely. It's one thing to have a rest. It's quite another to have no competitive games for as long as that.
"I still reckon the fact we did not have a real game between playing our last league game on April 18 and meeting Feyenoord in the 1970 European Cup final on May 6 worked against us.
"We did play two friendlies - which we won 7-0 and 8-0 - to keep us ticking over, but that's never the same."
