Dundee boss plays safe over skipper

Dundee manager Barry Smith admits it is a major boost to have club captain Stephen O'Donnell back in his squad – but he is not ready to start against Celtic tonight.

The 29-year-old was an unused sub in the 4-1 defeat at Inverness after recovering from the hamstring injury that has kept him out since August.

Smith said: "He's not quite ready to start the game, but I think it's great to have him back on the bench and available. He's not actually match-fit but it's good to see him recovered from what he's had and available for the bench at least."
