Gary Hooper's deal had clause

A clause in the deal which saw Gary Hooper move from Scunthorpe to Celtic in summer 2010 means that the League One side are expecting to receive a reported £250,000.

Hooper netted twice in the group stage of the tournament, both goals coming in the ties against Spartak Moscow, and Scunthorpe general manager David Beeby confirmed that the English side will reap a reward from Celtic remaining in the lucrative tournament.

"We have received a payment, though I can't confirm what that payment is," he said.

"We're under an obligation within the agreement not to reveal any of the details."
