TONY WATT reckons he learned more from axed Standard Liege boss Guy Luzon in two months than he did at Celtic for the past two years.
The former Scotland Under-21 striker has netted just once for Standard since his £1.2million move in the summer.
And Standard boss Luzon paid the price for a terrible start after their own fans rioted following the weekend defeat to bottom side Zulte-Waregem to leave them 12th in a 16-team league.
That was enough for the board to pull the trigger on him, but Watt reckons he owed his former boss a lot.
Watt said: "Thanks coach for everything. I've learned more in two months with you than I did in two years. Top coach and top man.
"I honestly don't have one bad word to say about him. He gave me my opportunity and gave everything to the club. Football is not fair.
"I'm not 100 per cent fit, but he gave me time and protected me."
