ALEKSANDAR TONEV could be set for a move to France, according to his agent, with four clubs watching him tomorrow in Gran Canaria.

The on-loan Aston Villa winger's appeal against his seven-game SFA ban for a racial slur on Aberdeen defender Shay Logan was thrown out last month.

Celtic have stated they won't take the matter any further and Tonev is due to get some game time on the Hoops' winter break to Spain.

Bulgarian midfielder Tonev has been linked with a move to German strugglers Werder Bremen.

But the player's agent, Antoni Raveaud, has revealed that Bordeaux, Montpellier, Lille and FC Lorient will all be represented when Celtic face Dutch side PSV Eindhoven tomorrow.

Raveaud said: "Four French clubs have contacted me and told me they will be at the game to watch Aleksandar.

"I talked to him after he arrived in Las Palmas and he feels much better about his situation.

"He's rested and has a great deal of enthusiasm to get back on the pitch and has a desire to play.

"We know what he can do and believe in him. He has the best part of his career ahead of him."
