JOHN GUIDETTI hopes he only sings when he's winning as the Swede prepares to roar on Celtic from the stands this Thursday.

The striker is ineligible for the Europa League Group D tie with Dinamo Zagreb as his loan move from Manchester City wasn't registered in time for him to be included in the Hoops' Euro squad.

That means the man who has bagged three goals in two games will have to resign himself to a seat in the Parkhead crowd as the Bhoys target a home win on match night No.2.

Guidetti is no stranger to fan interaction. He was regularly seen celebrating with the Feyenoord fans during his spell in Rotterdam three years ago.

And while he is disappointed to be missing out on the tie, the forward admits he can't wait to sample a European night under the lights in Paradise.

He said: "I can't play Thursday, but the boys will be fantastic and we'll move forward.

"I'm going to cheer them on. I think it's nerve-racking being in the stands. It's probably even worse than playing yourself because you get so nervous.

"The boys are going to do well. With the fantastic support I've heard about on European nights hopefully I can learn some songs and sing along."

Guidetti's latest two strikes came in the 2-1 win at St Mirren at the weekend following his first goal in green and white hoops coming against Hearts in midweek on League Cup duty.

After bagging his Buddies brace, the City loanee was taken off while appearing to have picked up an injury.

But he has revealed the move was as a precaution to keep him fighting fit to face Hamilton Academical this Sunday in the SPFL Premiership.

He told Celtic TV: "I got cramp in my hamstring. I have been out for a while so three games in a week is a lot for me. I think we took the precaution before being stupid.

"I got it a bit earlier, but at 1-1 I don't think you can let the team down by going off, you have to fight through it.

"But then I scored to go 2-1 up I said listen 'We're 2-1 up let's keep the score. Take me off so to not risk anything, and the manager also told me to come off'."
