ICELANDIC whistler Kristinn Jakobsson will finally take charge of a game involving a Scottish club tomorrow ...
four years after turning down the SFA during a domestic referees' strike.
Jakobsson will be the man in the middle when Celtic meet FC Astra Giurgiu in the Europa League.
He hit the headlines in Scotland in 2010 when he rejected a plea from the SFA to handle SPL games hit by industrial action involving referees.
The 44-year-old said at the time: "We will support our colleagues in Scotland.
"The referees all around the world are one team, so I think we are going on the same line."
He was in charge of a rare Scotland win under Craig Levein when a Steven Naismith goal saw the Scots beat Lithuania 1-0 in 2011. He awarded Scotland a penalty which was missed by Darren Fletcher.
