JOE LEDLEY set Celtic on course for a 2-0 win in Helsinki, a result which shot the Hoops into the play-off round for the Champions League.

One day short of that anniversary, the Welsh midfielder wants an action replay when he lines up against Elfsborg.

Like last year, Celtic are defending a one-goal lead from the first leg in Glasgow.

They kept Helsinki out, and Ledley knows another clean sheet tonight in the Boras Arena would be good enough to put them into Friday's draw for the final hurdle before the group stage.

He is confident they can once again erect that impenetrable wall and said: "We've only conceded one goal in the four competitive games we have played this season.

"That was on Saturday against Ross County, and, to be fair, we couldn't do anything about that strike. Before that, we had six clean sheets - three at the end of last season and another three since we came back - which is a fantastic achievement.

"That's our main aim every time we go out, to defend well as a unit, and we've done that pretty well. In the qualifiers, we've been to places like Helsinki and Helsingborgs and kept clean sheets.

"We know it will be very difficult to do that again tonight, but that's the target.

"It's going to be a full house, and Elfsborg are really going to be up for it, so we have to concentrate throughout the game.

"I expect Elfsborg will change they way they approach this tie compared to last week's first match. Mo Bangura had a good game and looked lively.

"We expected that as he was coming back to Glasgow and trying to prove a point.

"This time I can see them going 4-4-2, attacking from the off to try and get a goal to level the tie.

"But we'll be ready for that and will look to score a goal, which would mean they would need to beat Fraser Forster three times to knock us out."

Even if the Swedes do manage to level the tie by opening the scoring, Ledley believes the experience this Celtic side can call upon will ensure they keep their cool.

"We will not panic if that happens," he said defiantly. "It was like at the weekend when Ross County scored early.

"You can't rush things - keep your head and keep in mind there's plenty of time to go. We know we've 90 minutes to get the goal we want."

Ledley is not trying to downplay the importance of this game, however.

"There's massive pressure on everyone - players, management and backroom staff," he admitted. "Everyone associated with the club wants to win, just as much as we do as players.

"It's the same situation as last season when there was so much pressure on us to get through the qualifiers. Hopefully we can deal with it as we did then."

Since then, Celtic have lost Gary Hooper and Victor Wanyama, but Ledley is sure the new players brought in know exactly what is on the line.

He said: "The new lads - Virgil van Dijk, Amido Balde and Steven Mouyokolo - know how important it is we all work for one another to get to where we want to be.

"That's the main thing when you are in a pressurised situation like this."

The heat will be turned up even more if Celtic can get through to the play-off round, where opposition of the calibre of Dinamo Zagreb and Partizan Belgrade could lie in wait.

But Ledley is not prepared to raise his gaze above the immediate target, insisting: "We can only take it round by round. If we do get past Elfsborg, it's going to be tasty in the play off because of the teams involved.

"But that was also the case last year and we dealt with it then. The only thing we are thinking about is trying to get into that draw, and will be happy to take whoever we get if we do that."
