LEIGH Griffiths says the best thing about his full Celtic debut against St Johnstone was the team getting all three points.

The striker and Anthony Stokes, whose hat-trick made it 3-0, linked up well, but Griffiths said what pleased him was being in a winning Celtic side.

He the club website: "It was good to make my debut but the most important thing was to get the three points and get the win, and I thought the boys did that with a very good performance.

"You always want to bounce back after a defeat and I thought we did that from start to finish. We were excellent and the important thing now is to try and continue that next week.

"Stokey was magnificent today. Everything he touched seemed to go in and he was the one who was linking the play for us and with his goals he fully deserved that hat-trick.

"Our styles seem to complement each other. The manager was saying we both seemed to work really well."
