NEIL Lennon today demanded his Celtic stars finish the season on a massive high - by smashing through the 100-goal barrier in their final game.

The Hoops will finally be presented with the SPFL Premiership trophy after their match against Dundee United at Parkhead on Sunday afternoon.

The Scottish champions can no longer record over a century of points after drawing 3-3 with St. Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday night.

However, after taking their collective goal tally for the 2014/15 campaign to 99 in Perth in midweek they can go through the 100 mark this weekend. And Lennon believes achieving that feat against United would underline that his side has produced attacking and attractive football consistently this term. He said: "There are still some people out there who say that we don;t entertain, but that is 93 goals we have scored last season and 99 this season with one game to go.

"I think the players have provided more than adequate entertainment for the fans this season and it would be great if we could go above 100."

Lennon was disappointed that Celtic conceded two late goals against Scottish Cup finalists St. Johnstone to snatch a draw from the jaws of victory.

But he stressed he has been impressed with how his charges have performed since clinching their third consecutive title against Partick Thistle back in March. The Glasgow giants have gone undefeated in the six games they have been involved in - and have netted no fewer than 20 goals in the process.

The Irishman is confident they can maintain that fine run of form against Jackie McNamara's side and give their fans something to cheer about in the last game.

He said: "The way the players have kept themselves going since we have won the league has been fantastic. They haven't lost a game since we have won the league.

"To go through the season with one defeat (against Aberdeen at Pittodrie back in February) speaks volumes about the effort that they have put in.

"I was disappointed that we lost two late goals to draw the game against St. Johnstone on Wednesday night. But I can't be overly critical of them.

"Our play in the second half, when we came back from being 1-0 down to lead 3-1, was very good and that has been typical of out attitude this season.

"We showed a lot of attacking flair in the second half and if it hadn't been for some poor defending late on we would have been rewarded for that with another victory.

"I know the boys will all be determined to put that performance behind them and finish the season on a massive high. Scoring more than 100 goals would give everyone something to shout about.

"We have a lot of competition for places up front now and I am sure that the team will be able to turn on the style one last time in what will be a very difficult game for us against good opposition."
