NEIL LENNON has called for a sense of perspective in the wake of Tuesday's first league defeat of the season for Celtic.

As the Hoops boss prepared to send out his Bhoys to face Inverness at Parkhead today, he said: "It's not the end of the world - it's the end of a very good run.

"But I thought we played very well on the night and showed great desire not to lose the unbeaten record, playing with 10 men for 78 minutes.

"Now we just have to keep them motivated and bowling long.

"We have only conceded 14 goals this season, so we've got to try and keep that down and maybe break a record there.

"And we will try to get over 100 points."

Lennon is aware of a sense of anti-climax after the midweek defeat to the Dons, though he remains determined to push all the way to the finish.

"It is strange that some people are saying Celtic's season is over," he said. "But what can you do? It's the environment we are in."

The Hoops need a maximum of 13 points to regain the title they have held for the last two seasons.

And no one will be allowed take it easy before the job is done.

Lennon warned: "That's something we will definitely keep an eye on. And if that's the case they won't play."

But he added: "They are good pros and competitors and I am hoping they show the same desire and character they showed in the second half on Tuesday."

Lennon will tweak his side in the coming weeks, as he wants to give more opportuntiies to fringe men like Amido Balde, and Teemu Pukki and Derk Boerrigter.

"We'll freshen things up as we go along," he explained.

"Stefan Johansen trained today, so he is back in contention. But I wouldn't want to mix the team up too much."
