Ronny Deila doesn't believe that this weekend's league meeting between Celtic and Dundee United will give rise to further niggle between the teams.

This weekend will be the fourth time in less than a fortnight that they have played one another and with each of the three games beforehand producing red-cards - there have been six in all - there is a danger that there could be more ill feeling.

However, the Norwegian is keen to play down any suggestion that personal battles could be carried into the meeting.

"I'm not concerned about my team," he said. "We are going to play football.

"It was just one thing in the game that happened for us. So I don't see any problems with discipline for our team.

"I'm excited about Saturday as it's fun to work with the players and the team.

"We are playing good football, we look very determined and there is a lot of confidence in the team. I enjoy watching it.

"It is a team that loves to play football together. We have fought a lot to get into the position we're in now. So we just have to keep things in the same way."

And Deila also believes that Celtic's momentum can enable them to get back on track in terms of their league duties.

There are just three points between Celtic and Aberdeen - albeit that they have a game in hand over the Pittodrie side - and Deila would like that chasm to open a little wider now."

"We're in a very good position if we win," he said. "And we are really determined to do that to.

"We want to forget that game against St Johnstone and get on track again in the league."

Meanwhile, Deila has rubbished stories that Mikael Lustig could be out for the remainder of the season.

The Swedish defender has been sidelined with an ankle injury but Deila expects him to return to the Celtic squad after the break for international football.

"Hopefully he will be back for us after the international break," said the Celtic manager.

"That is the goal. But it is the same injury as Jason Denayer had and it can either be one week or two months. It's so hard to say."
