Ronny Deila today warned his Celtic stars: You'll do it my way or no way!

And the Parkhead boss has warned that even scoring goals and finding form in games will not be sufficient to guarantee a first-team place if players are not knuckling down to take on board his daily methods at Lennoxtown.

As his table-topping stars prepared to face St Johnstone in Perth this afternoon, Deila declared: "Everything is about results, but you have to think how to get those results. And when you fill in all the boxes you need to, then you will get those results.

"That's how I work and that's how my players have to work as well. That's what they are starting to get right now, they understand what I mean. "You can score two goals at the weekend, but if you don't work in training, you will not be in the team."

Deila brought John Guidetti back into the squad for the midweek victory at Firhill and, although the Swede did not find the back of the net, the manager was satisfied with the player's overall contribution.

Guidetti made an immediate impact when he first arrived at the club to embark on his loan deal in September but, over recent months, the goals have dried up for the 22-year-old.

The player has found the net on 11 occasions so far this term - but hasn't scored since November.

While Deila has made no criticism of the striker, he has previously hinted the early acclaim laid at Guidetti's feet was something of a distraction. The player has found himself down the pecking order in recent weeks as Leigh Griffiths has come to the fore, and Deila has urged the on-loan Manchester City forward to maintain his focus between now and the remainder of the season.

"He has to stop thinking about it and he will score goals," said Deila. "Because you have to think of the process, not results. Goals come as a consequence of good processes. That is maybe the most important thing I have to try and get into this culture.

"Because without that, I know he will not continue developing. It's about always looking forward and also reflecting after matches. 'What did I do well? What can I do better?' Then you will get the results in the end'.

"When I see my players working 100 per cent and are switched on, then I know we are going to beat the other team.

"One day it is John Guidetti doing well, getting two or three goals, the next it is Leigh Griffiths. And then Stefan Johansen. If we are a good team, the chances will come."

Griffiths is expected to be back in the squad for this afternoon's game, while James Forrest is also expected to feature against the Perth Saints.
