SALZBURG manager Adi Hutter has warned Celtic his team have improved since their last Europa League clash and they are planning to make history tonight.

Red Bull drew 2-2 with the Hoops in September but three wins in Group D have put them through to the knockout stages.

They have also raced to the top of the Austrian league and Hutter hopes they can keep up their good form to become the first Austrian team to win in Scotland.

Aberdeen, Rangers, Dundee United, Hearts and Livingston have never lost in nine home games against Austrian clubs while Celtic have beaten Rapid Vienna (twice), Tirol Innsbruck and Wacker Innsbruck.

Speaking at Parkhead last night, Hutter said: "Celtic played a similar style to us in Salzburg but our confidence was not so good that night.

"Since then we've had nine wins in 12 games so our confidence is high and that's important for us when we face Celtic.

"I will enjoy the atmosphere but I can only be happy if we play well and my team wins.

"We want to become the first Austrian team to win in Scotland. "

Celtic are two points behind Salzburg and will reach the last 32 with a victory. But Hutter says all the pressure is on the home side.

He added: "We aim to finish top but Celtic have everything to play for as they have still to qualify. I am sure it will be a good atmosphere and that's positive for us.

"Celtic are a good team and the fans might be an advantage for them but we are not afraid of Celtic or the crowd."
