GEORGIOS SAMARAS has travelled to Spain for talks with La Liga side Malaga.
The Greek World Cup star is still without a club after leaving Celtic at the end of his contract in May.
Hoops boss Ronny Deila had hinted he would be very interested in taking 29-year-old Samaras back to Parkhead.
But it seems the striker is set to clinch a move to the Costa del Sol after travelling to Malaga for talks with the ambitious Andalusian club.
Samaras has had no shortage of offers for his services after impressing in Brazil during the summer as he helped Greece qualify from the Group Stages for the first time ever.
Sevilla, Southampton, Hamburg and Lokomotiv Moscow and have all expressed interest in him.
And only last week, Samaras rejected a move to France with Lyon.
Earlier he had rejected the offer of a £5.5million-a-year, three-season contract with an unnamed Chinese club because he wasn't interested in moving to Asia.
Samaras also said no to a £25,000-a-week deal to play in Turkey with the Istanbul-based Besiktas, who face Arsenal in the Champions League play-offs this week.
If the ex-Manchester City ace can agree terms with Malaga, he may be in line to make his debut for the club on Saturday against Athletic Bilbao.
